She became a ward sister in 2010 and has worked on medical wards at the Leicester General Hospital and Royal Infirmary. Throughout the pandemic she worked at the LRI caring for elderly people. She has one teenager taking GCSE exams this year and cares for elderly parents, one with dementia. Helen says: “We need a new energetic team on Blaby District Council who represent all ages and backgrounds. After 50 years of Conservative domination the council really needs a change.”
